Personal Spirits

Personal spirits...what are they?  They can be anything from someone that you know or "someone" or "something" in your home that you don't know.  Sometimes these spirits can be more frightning and more invasive that those that you encounter in investigations done elsewhere than your own personal space. 

I have done several investigations at many different locations and depending on the situation for the most part they are not scary or dangerous.  Some may have startled me and my group but I don't know that I have ever been scared.  I can say that we have had out attention "gotten" if you will.  I've even had "something" stick with me for appx. 30 minutes but I never was afraid.  Maybe I should had been thinking back but if the spirit is not meaning to be harmful I believe we "get" that message right away, most of the time not knowing. 

Then why is it that I'm bothered by the activity in my own home?  Well, is our home not supposed to be our safe haven?  Is this not the space that we are to feel comfortable in?  This is why.  My home is the place where I can find peace and comfort. 

I by no means feel that anything has been malicious or will be.  I do feel there are more than one.  Sometimes they come and go.  I've heard sounds and voices, been touched and even heard and seen something move our curtains.  I thought at first it was a bird but upon inpsection there was nothing there.  I then took out a device called an Ovilus that allows the physical words to be said out loud by the spirit to be heard by our ears and I had gotten quite a bit regarding an investigation at a B&B we had just gotten back from.  Did I bring something back?  I don't know.  These are the things I continue to research.

New Year~~New Haunts

Finally, another new year.  Time for changes, time for new haunts.  It's time for me to seek out new locations to investigate.  I have done the same ole thing too many times, Waverly four times!  Don't get me wrong, that place is amazing but sadly it's becoming too commercialized.  Way too much foot traffic, the spirits are not as active as they used to be. 

I had a talk with someone a few days ago after he bought my book (Paranormal Encounters) and it's nice to hear the different stories and different places that house the paranormal.  He told me about New Orleans.  Wow, the places and the spirits that are there.  It's definiatly in the cards this year.  Since I'm in the process of writing another paranormal book I'm in need of more information, more investigations.  It's so sad there is nothing in my area.
